Helping
to heal ...one heart at a time
Kids
helping kids after Hurricane Katrina
ArtWare
by You
is currently working with schools, clubs
and
organizations all over the country who want to make
a difference
in the lives of the children devastated by
natural disasters such as
Hurricane Katrina. Children
who are displaced to
schools far from
their homes need as much emotional and
financial help as possible.
In addition, children throughout the country who were
not directly
affected by these disasters need to express their
feelings, process
the effects of these devastations, and feel
as though they can
make a difference in the world they live
in.
By allowing children to create art which is uplifting
and supportive, they are able to work through their own
emotions and fears as well as share their hopeful creations
with children affected by
these tragedies They appreciate any support, be it financial or
emotional.

"Hearts
Pour Out"
ArtWare can supply a simple heart outline for your students
to
color and decorate. A small donation of $1.00 per
heart
outline can be collected. This
dollar can be donated to relief
efforts, which can be facilitated by
ArtWare
by You, if so desired.
We are always in contact with schools all
over the country,
and are well aware of those that are in need.
We suggest displaying the decorated hearts throughout your
school or
building which will allow the children to feel proud that
they were able to help as well as “keep current” situations that
will be long felt by many of the children.
Tee-Shirts
Students have the opportunity to proudly
wear the
artwork they created by purchasing a tee shirt with their
colored heart imprinted on it. The
shirt
can include the phrase:
“Helping to
heal… one heart at a time”
We
will offer a second shirt at a discounted rate and ArtWare
will send that shirt to children
displaced by Hurricane
Katrina or another cause you would like to support.
.
Quilts
ArtWare
can imprint those same uplifting heart creations onto quilt
squares and create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece which can be
donated and hung in schools receiving displaced children or
another cause you would like to support.
The message on the quilt
canl read:
“Our hearts are with you”
This
program not only allows the displaced children to feel
welcomed
but will also act as a thank you to the children
already
attending that school for sharing their space,
books, supplies etc…
A “Thanks for taking care of our own”
